The Karamkari Journey: Where Art Meets Karma Karamkari isn’t just a clothing brand—it’s the embodiment of two cousins chasing a shared dream. We’re two marketing graduates from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune, brought together not just by family but by an enduring love for art, creativity and the stories that fashion can tell. Our journey started in the most unassuming way—over coffee. Sitting across from each other we found ourselves talking about our dreams. Both of us had a deep-rooted belief in karma, the idea that every action, no matter how small, creates ripples. We wondered: could we channel this philosophy into something tangible? Could we create a brand that represents the energy, passion and individuality of people while also celebrating the art and culture that have always inspired us? Our brand name, Karamkari, is inspired by the idea of karma and the intricacy of “kari,” which means craftsmanship. Each design is crafted with care and thought, keeping alive the heritage of traditional artistry while embracing contemporary styles. It’s our way of bringing two worlds together—the old and the new, the rooted and the free-spirited. We wanted Karamkari to reflect who we are: two cousins with unique tastes but a shared vision. One of us has always been drawn to bold, modern designs—clean lines and minimalist aesthetics. The other has a heart rooted in tradition, finding beauty in intricate patterns, vibrant colors and the stories of artisans who pour their soul into their work.
